Dana Point Tavern Misfires With 'Climb Our Wall, Get A Green Card' Cinco De Mayo Promotion, Patrons Say
Breaking: Hennessey's owner took to social media to clarify his intent.

DANA POINT, CA — The owner of Hennessey's Tavern in Dana Point found himself in some hot water this weekend after a Cinco de Mayo promotion he ran ended up backfiring. Hennessey's offered patrons a chance to "climb our wall and pick up your 'green card' on the other side," according to a flyer promoting the event. Hennessey's had an inflatable wall set up next to the bar, and printed up 'green cards' offering free drinks.
The Facebook post went viral Friday, causing Paul Hennessey, the tavern owner, to give the following statement on Hennessey's Facebook page:
A call to the tavern wasn't returned.
