Father Fighting For His Life In Dana Point Hit-And-Run: How To Help
Dan Luong was walking his dog in Dana Point when he was struck and critically injured by a hit-and-run driver on June 27.
DANA POINT, CA — An Orange County family is seeking the public's help after father and husband Dan Luong fell victim to a hit-and-run car crash while he was out on foot walking his dog in Dana Point.
"Dan was walking his dog in his neighborhood when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, leaving him critically injured and fighting for his life." the GoFundMe benefitting the Luong family said. "He is currently in the intensive care unit as the medical team works to stabilize him."
According to family friends, they expect a long road to recovery for the father and husband.

A GoFundMe was created for the family — including Dan's wife, Annie, and their three sons: Ben, Max and Zak — to help them through this emotional and financial hardship.
Funds will be raised to help with medical bills and ongoing treatment, childcare and living expenses, legal support as authorities search for the hit-and-run driver, and long-term support for Dan's sons.

"Any amount you can give — no matter how small — will go directly toward supporting this family during this heartbreaking time. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this campaign to help us reach more people," the GoFundMe read.
In addition, the Luong family is currently seeking out information on the hit-and-run driver that struck Dan.
"If you have any information, video footage, or saw anything suspicious near La Cresta and Silver Lantern around 10:00 PM on Friday, June 27th — especially a light-colored sedan with front right damage — please call the Orange County Sheriffs Department- Dana Point and reference case #25-022397."
