DANA POINT, CA — Friends and family members of Jon Mansur gathered on Sunday to memorialize the owner of a popular Dana Point Harbor restaurant, the Orange County Register reported.

A celebration of life attended by hundreds of Mansur's friends and family members was held at the harbor where he started his eponymous fish market in 1980. Mansur died March 11 at the age of 77, the Register reported.

Mansur wasn't just a restauranteur but also an avid fisherman, according to the Register. Todd Mansur, his son, told the Register swordfishing was his life.

Mansur's passion for swordfishing went so far as developing a netting system with his brother in the 1970s that would allow fishermen to catch a large amount of swordfish, the paper reported.
