Kitten Season Begins at Area Animal Shelter

It's an explosion of cuteness, and it starts today. Residents, if you are looking for a kitten, now is the time to act.

If one kitten is cute, what are nearly two dozen kittens?

This explosion of cuteness, whatever it's called, is arriving at the Monday, with tiny, cuddly, soft-furred, purring kittens mewing for new homes.

The center serves Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, and Aliso Viejo.

Some of the lovable scamps include Azucar and Sal, who are 9-week-old males and best friends described as "playful" and "affectionate."

All the kittens at the shelter are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy, according to a city statement.

Representatives at the center expect these kittens to find a new home quickly, so if you want one you'd better arrive early.
