SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — One person died when a motorcycle crashed into a tree in San Juan Capistrano Thursday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said. The crash was reported at 1:38 p.m. on Camino Capistrano near San Juan Creek Road, authorities said. According to officers, the crash involved a motorcycle and a tree and left one person dead. The right turn lane of the nearby Interstate 5 Freeway was shut down while authorities assess the scene.No further information was immediately available.
