DANA POINT, CA — Local shutterbug Marshall Aren caught a moment Tuesday morning of a flock of pelicans resting between Newport Beach and Dana Point on their way to parts unknown.

While taking the photo, Aren said the pelicans discovered "an intruder in their midst," a small bird.

What happened to the tiny visitor and the final destination of the pelicans is best left to the birds.
