4 Residents, Dog Displaced In San Jacinto House Fire

Firefighters arrived to battle flames raging in the attic of the single-story San Jacinto home Wednesday morning.

SAN JACINTO, CA — A fire that broke out Wednesday in a house north of San Jacinto caused significant damage, displacing the four occupants and their dogs, none of whom suffered injuries.

The blaze was reported at 10:35 a.m. in the 100 block of Pepper Tree Lane, just off of Gilman Springs Road, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames raging in the attic of the single-story residence.

The two men and two women occupying the property got out unscathed with their three dogs prior to crews' arrival.

Firefighters battled the blaze until shortly after 11 a.m., when it was completely knocked down, officials said.

Red Cross personnel were summoned to assist the four displaced occupants with finding temporary alternate lodgings.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
