Bomb Threat Forces Evacuations At Norco City Hall, Corona Norco USD
Law enforcement sweeps were conducted Tuesday and both campuses were cleared.
NORCO, CA — Norco City Hall and Corona Norco Unified School District were evacuated Tuesday morning due to a bomb threat.
Riverside County sheriff's deputies responded just before 7:30 a.m. to both campuses in the 2800 block of Clark Avenue.
“Clark Avenue between Fourth Street and Market Street around Norco City Hall is closed due to law enforcement activity. Avoid the area until further notice,” a post on the city of Norco’s Facebook page read.

Not long after, the city posted an update: "The law enforcement activity surrounding Norco City Hall and Corona Norco Unified School District on Clark Avenue has been cleared and the road closures have been lifted. Norco City Hall will reopen at 10 a.m."
No information was released about arrests nor whether anything was discovered during sweeps by Riverside County deputies.

Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Deirdre Vickers released the following emailed statement: "Deputies arrived on the scene and evacuated all affected businesses in the area. The Riverside Sheriff’s Hazardous Device Team responded and conducted a safety sweep of all buildings. They deemed the businesses safe, and all evacuations have been lifted. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information is available at this time."
