Letters, Packages Scatter Across RivCo Roadway On Christmas Eve

A mail truck that "shook violently" before it toppled left a mess on this stretch of Corona roadway on Christmas Eve. Here's what happened.

CORONA, CA — A U.S. Postal Service delivery truck crashed in Corona, scattering mail and packages across the roadway, the California Highway Patrol dispatch reported Wednesday.

At 10:30 a.m., a postal service worker driving a mail carrier vehicle reported the truck "started shaking, then went off-roading," in the 19100 block of E. Ontario Avenue, just south of Piute Creek Avenue, according to CHP.

The mail carrier then toppled, scattering mail and packages across lanes. Tow trucks were called to the scene, and the driver was able to free themselves from the vehicle with minor injuries.
