COVID Hospitalizations Trend Up In Riverside County
During May and first half of June, one in three patients had been fully vaccinated with a SARS-CoV-2 therapeutic, according to county stats.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The number of people hospitalized with a coronavirus infection in Riverside County rose by more than two dozen in the last week, while patients under intensive care remained the same, the Riverside University Health System said Friday.
A comparison of data over the last seven days showed that COVID-19 hospitalizations countywide increased from 105 to 133, with 12 patients in the ICU — the same as on June 17.
One month ago, 91 people were hospitalized throughout the county with a COVID infection, 10 of whom were ICU patients. The ICU patient count has generally remained just above or below 10 since the end of March, according to data.

County Department of Public Health figures released this week showed that among those hospitalized with a COVID diagnosis during the first half of June, one in three patients had been fully vaccinated with a SARS-CoV-2 therapeutic. The figures were the same for the month of May.
Officials said that the total number of COVID cases recorded since the public health documentation period began in March 2020 is 632,400.

RUHS said that in the last 27 months, a total 6,549 deaths from virus- related complications have been recorded, unchanged from a week ago.
