Fatal 15 Freeway Crash: Coroner IDs Victim

NORCO, CA — The coroner identified a man who died over the weekend in a car crash on southbound Interstate 15 in Norco.

Christian Jose Guadalupe Valdivia, 30, of Rialto was pronounced dead at the scene after the sedan he was in careened into a freeway pillar just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday near the Hidden Valley Parkway offramp.

It was unclear if the deceased was the driver or a passenger. No other injuries were reported.

It was also not immediately known if drugs or alcohol factored into the crash, the cause of which was under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
