Faulty Wiring Causes Fire In Inhabited Garage In Riverside
Fire crews determined the blaze had originated in an inhabited garage before extending into the main residence.
RIVERSIDE, CA — Firefighters from the Riverside Fire Department Saturday attributed the cause of an inhabited garage fire to faulty electrical wiring.
The fire was reported Friday around 9:05 p.m. in the 10300 block of Hedrick Avenue in Riverside, where firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the detached garage and the rear of the main residence.

All occupants were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported, according to the fire department.
It took 19 firefighters approximately 2 1/2 hours to fully extinguish the fire.
