Firefighters Free Person Trapped Under Vehicle Near Lake Matthews
A person trapped under a vehicle after plunging off a cliffside Saturday in Riverside County was airlifted to a hospital.

RIVERSIDE, CA — A person trapped under a vehicle that went over the side of a cliff Saturday morning in the unincorporated Lake Matthews area near Riverside was rescued by firefighters and airlifted to a hospital.
Firefighters responded at 2:35 a.m. to the area of Tin Mine Road and La Sierra Avenue and confirmed that a vehicle was off-roading and went over the side and one person was trapped under the vehicle, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The department reported about 4:30 a.m. that the victim had been freed from the wreckage and was placed on a helicopter and taken to hospital in unknown condition.
