Homicide Detectives Investigate Killing Of Eastvale Man

EASTVALE, CA — Riverside County sheriff's detectives Wednesday were continuing to investigate the shooting death of a 51-year-old Eastvale man.

Kelvin Jackett was killed shortly after midnight Monday at a house in the 12000 block of Craigburn Circle, near Golden Club Drive, according to the sheriff's department.

Sgt. Ed Baeza said deputies were called to the location to investigate reports of a shooting and found Jackett dead and another man, whose identity was not released, seriously wounded.

The surviving victim was taken to a Riverside hospital for treatment and was expected to recover.
Baeza did not specify a possible motive.

Detectives from the Central Homicide Unit are handling the investigation and asked anyone with information to contact the unit at 951-955- 2777.
