Magnitude 4 Earthquake Shakes Inland Empire
Its impact was felt across Southern California, from Riverside to Laguna Niguel to even San Diego, social media users reported.

ONTARIO, CA — A 4.0-magnitude earthquake shook the Inland Empire overnight, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake struck around 3:51 a.m. Sunday about 2 miles south of the Ontario International Airport and had a 3.54-mile depth, the survey reported, adding a 2.5-magnitude aftershock hit the area at 4:04 a.m. with a depth of 3.67 miles.
Its impact was felt across Southern California, from Riverside to Laguna Niguel to even San Diego, X users reported in response to a prompt from KTLA.

“It shook my house violently! It felt like a car had hit the side of my house,” one user in Eastvale told the station.
Another in Fontana said the quake “shook my door and thought someone was knocking on it till the entire house shook.”

Southern California gets about 10,000 earthquakes per year but only around 15-20 have a magnitude greater than 4.0, according to the survey.
