Man Killed In Lake Elsinore By Hit-And-Run Driver Identified
The driver who hit the 44-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore was still at large on Thursday.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A pedestrian killed by a hit-and-run driver earlier this week was identified as a 44-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore, authorities said.
Joshua Nichols was struck shortly before 1 a.m. by a driver who remained at large on Thursday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The collision was reported at Riverside Drive, west of Baker Street in Lake Elsinore. Authorities found Nichols in the roadway, where he was pronounced dead.

"The driver that struck the pedestrian fled the location and is still being sought," the department said Wednesday.
The Riverside Sheriff's Office seeks the public's help in identifying the driver and vehicle involved in this incident. Anyone with information about this collision should contact Deputy Keyser at 951-245-3000 or the Riverside Sheriff's Dispatch at 951-776-1099.
