LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A motorcyclist spun out, crashed and suffered major injuries on the Ortega (74) Highway west of Lake Elsinore Sunday. The crash was reported at 10:21 a.m. at the Tenaja Truck Trail juncture, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The highway was closed in both directions for about half an hour but reopened just before 11 a.m., the CHP said.
The two-lane, winding segment of the highway that carves through the Santa Ana Mountains has been the site of many major and fatal motorcycle crashes.
