Motorcyclist Killed In Lake Elsinore Grand Avenue Crash

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Monday in a collision with a pickup truck in Lake Elsinore.

The fatality occurred about 5:30 p.m. on Grand Avenue, near Macy Street, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol.

The pickup truck and motorcycle collided in front of a business, the CHP reported. No other details were immediately available.

Paramedics reached the location within 10 minutes and pronounced the rider, whose name was not disclosed, dead at the scene.

The pickup driver was not hurt.

Sheriff's deputies shut down Grand Avenue in both directions where the collision occurred for a preliminary investigation and to clear the wreckage.

The closure was expected to be lifted by nightfall.
