RivCo Supes Approve Property Tax Bill Printing Deal With OC Vendor
A Yorba Linda-based vendor will handle all printing and distribution of Riverside County's property tax bills for the next five years.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The Board of Supervisors Tuesday authorized the Riverside County Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector to enter into a $4.87 million contract with a Yorba Linda-based vendor to handle all printing and distribution of property tax bills for the next five years.
In a 5-0 vote without comment, the board gave Treasurer-Tax Collector Matthew Jennings the go-ahead to establish the agreement with Bridgecom LLC.
"During this time of unprecedented economic uncertainty, the county cannot sustain a disruption in the printing and mailing of property tax bills, which would have a substantial negative impact on the single largest source of revenue to the county," according to an agency statement. "This agreement is critical to ensure uninterrupted revenue streams."

More than $4.5 million in revenue is derived from county property taxes, with more than one million tax bills mailed to property owners countywide throughout the year, according to officials.
"The timely mailing of each tax bill is critical to ensure the efficient collection and the timely deposit of revenues," Jennings said.

The agreement will be in effect from fiscal years 2022-23 to 2026-27.
According to documents posted to the board's agenda, four vendors submitted bids for the contract, but Bridgecom was ultimately selected as the "most responsive and responsible bidder."
The company has facilities "in close proximity to downtown Riverside and can facilitate quick turnaround times for supply deliveries, bill template revisions and mailing services," the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector said.
