SigAlert Issued For 91 Freeway In Riverside After Semi-Truck Crash

RIVERSIDE, CA — A big-rig crash Wednesday afternoon on state Route 91 in Riverside has prompted a SigAlert that's expected to remain in place until at least 3 p.m.

The crash was reported at 1:45 p.m. on the west side of the freeway, east of Adams Street.

In addition to the jackknifed semi, an unknown number of other vehicles were involved in the wreck.

The SigAlert was put in place just minutes before 2 p.m. and was requested for up to 1.5 hours so that authorities can clear the wreckage and investigate the crash cause.

Westbound freeway lanes were partially closed and traffic was jammed in both directions.

There was no immediate word on injuries.
