Sleepy Wildomar Driver Found With $20K In Stolen Jewelry: Cops
The man was allegedly found asleep, stopped in lanes on Grape Street, near the intersection of Railroad Canyon Road, in Lake Elsinore.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A driver who was allegedly found asleep at the wheel in Lake Elsinore early Wednesday morning was in possession of stolen goods, including jewelry valued at over $20,000, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
George William Moore, 59, of Wildomar was found asleep in a vehicle stopped in lanes on Grape Street, near the intersection of Railroad Canyon Road, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the law enforcement agency reported.
Moore was the only person inside the vehicle.

When deputies roused him, they discovered Moore was on probation for weapons charges, according to the sheriff's department.
"A search of the vehicle was conducted ... over 80 grams of methamphetamine, $8,000 in cash, and other items related to drug sales were discovered, along with numerous pieces of jewelry estimated at a value of over $20,000," the sheriff's department reported.

The jewelry was later connected to a San Diego County burglary, according to the department.
Moore was arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of receiving known stolen property as well as narcotics possession — both felonies. Jail records also show Moore was suspected of a misdemeanor drug violation. He was being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
