US Postal Service Begins Hiring Blitz: Job Fair Set In Southwest RivCo
Eighteen Inland Empire post offices will host a job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19. Temecula is among them.
TEMECULA, CA — The U.S. Postal Service announced Thursday it is hoping to hire 450 "career-oriented" employees across Southern California post offices to assist during the upcoming holiday shipping season and beyond.
To fill the positions, 33 post offices — including 18 in the Inland Empire — will host job fairs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19.
The USPS is looking to recruit 250 mail carriers, 100 clerks and 100 mail handlers across Riverside and San Bernardino counties, as well as San Diego County. Starting pay ranges from $17.32 to $20.05 an hour, the USPS said.

New recruits will fill positions over the holidays but will be kept on afterward and "given opportunities to advance into lifelong postal careers," according to the USPS.
USPS personnel will be onsite at the job fairs listed below to answer questions, assist potential applicants and provide detailed information about available positions. Those unable to attend the job fairs can apply online at www.usps.com/careers.
