Lake Elsinore Wildfire: Fire Contained After 3 Acres Burned

[FINAL UPDATE] Firefighters contained the fire at 5 p.m. and the fire was mapped at 2.9 acres.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Riverside County firefighters managed to extinguish a wildfire that burned about 2.9 acres in Lake Elsinore on Wednesday, the department said.
As of around 5 p.m. Wednesday, the fire had been extinguished, the Riverside County Fire Department said in a Facebook post.

As the fire burned, the Riverside County Sheriff's department closed a roadway at Red Gum Drive and Honey Lane.
The department said 14 engines, one truck, two chief officers, one bulldozer and one water tanker truck were on site after the fire was reported.

The department said the fire was reported around 1:15 p.m. and extinguished just less than four hours later.
