Woman Found Dead In Her IE Home, 62-Year-Old Boyfriend Charged With Murder

CHINO HILLS, CA — Police have determined that the killing last week of a 44-year-old Chino Hills woman was at the hands of her 62-year-old boyfriend, who is now behind bars.

On Tuesday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department announced the arrest of Victorville resident Vincent Ratcliff. Jail records show he was taken into custody the morning of Friday, Oct. 10, as he left his home in the 12500 block of Verano Street.

Ratcliff was charged with murder in the death of Jillian Jones and was due to make his initial court appearance on Tuesday.

Jones was found dead inside her home in the 4000 block of Village Drive after someone called 911 at 10:23 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8. It's not clear who made the call.

Ratcliff was in a romantic relationship with Jones, according to sheriff's investigators, though a motive for the killing was not disclosed. It's unclear how long they were dating.

Jones had suffered a "fatal traumatic injury," according to the sheriff's department, by the agency did not disclose further details.

"Based on numerous pieces of evidence investigators have located since the incident, it is believed Ratliff killed Jillian in a domestic violence-related incident," according to a statement Tuesday from the sheriff's department.
