• A workshop today by Dr. Jeffrey Van Rensselaer and associates will include free tests to determine if an innovative technique can help sufferers of Fibromyalgia and other chronic pain syndromes. Call 949-328-4980 to reserve a space. The event begins at 7 p.m. near Lake Forest and Rockfield.

• Luis Carrasco Jr., of Irvine, won $1,000 at the Lake Forest Golf and Practice Center in a Par 3 Tour event. In the nine hole format, he finished one stroke ahead of four others, including his father.

Computer graphics whizzes will discuss the visual effects in such films as “Pacific Rim,'' “Superman: Man of Steel'' and Disney's “Frozen” at the 40th International Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, which runs through Thursday at the Anaheim Convention Center.
