Del Taco, Based In Lake Forest, Partners To Open 5 New Franchise Restaurants In Central CA

Del Taco, based in Lake Forest, Orange County, announced their new franchise partners to further extend their central California market.

LAKE FOREST, CA —Del Taco, the second largest Mexican takeout franchise, is making a run against their competition. On Tuesday the quick-service restaurant chain announced a new franchise management partnership that has staked its claim for the Fresno territory.

Bangars Management will now be the Del Taco Franchise Partner in Fresno, they announced. Bangars Vice President Prabh Singh discussed the partnership, and the addition of five more restaurant locations to the central California market, in a recent news release.

Del Taco restaurants offer a unique blend of Mexican and American favorite flavors serving everything from burritos to fries. Founded in 1964, the Del Taco chain has over 600 restaurants in 16 states. This addition of five more restaurants to the Fresno market shows that the chain is in a place of growth during a changing restaurant landscape.

"We’ve been in the restaurant and retail industry for decades and have seen great success owning and operating scalable QSR restaurants and various convenience stores, particularly in the Central Valley. After months of research, we’ve found that Del Taco is a perfect partner to diversify our portfolio, which is something we’ve wanted to do for quite some time,” Singh said. “Del Taco’s emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients served in a quick and convenient format fits with our standards and ideals and we are thrilled to kick off this partnership.”

The partnership adds 35 years of experience to the chain along with the five new Fresno locations. Del Taco's Senior Vice President of Development Jeff Little spoke on the partnership with the new management company.

“Bangars Management has a proven history of success with owning and operating multiple quick service concepts and leading those concepts to become the top in their category,” Little said. “They value their people, love what our fresh quality brand is all about and have a dedication to customer service just as we do at Del Taco, making us the perfect fit for their growing company. We’re proud to have partnered with them and are looking forward to seeing them expand the Del Taco footprint within the Central Valley.”

The move goes with Del Taco's expansion plans, to add more Del Taco Franchise locations with multi-unit operators and equity firms who wish to diversify and claim a full territory at once, rather than a one-off taco shop.
