The Orange County Sheriff's Department DUI Taskforce conducted a checkpoint in Lake Forest on Friday, Nov. 7, from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. to check for licenses and drivers under the influence, according to a press release.The results of Friday's checkpoint are as follows:<ul><li>542 Vehicles screened</li><li>1 DUI-Alcohol impaired suspect arrested</li><li>1 DUI-Alcohol and Drug impaired suspect arrested</li><li>1 Suspect arrested for illegal drugs (possession/transportation/sales)</li><li>12 Drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended/revoked</li><li>2 Vehicles towed for storage or impound</li></ul>90 percent of California driver approve of the checkpoints, which have been shown to lower death rates from drunk driving.The sheriff's department will conduct a DUI saturation patrol on Friday, Nov. 21.Image: Wikimedia Commons
