Earth Day 2022: Lake Forest Residents Invited To Help Plant Trees

Volunteers are being sought to help plant trees and shrubbery in The Woods area of the Lake Forest II private planned community.

LAKE FOREST, CA — People looking to do their part for the environment on Earth Day can head to the Lake Forest II community Saturday to help plant trees and shrubbery.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the community's Woods area, Christine Martine, a spokesperson for the event, said.

Volunteers will plant Afghan pines, purple orchid trees, Oak trees and other plants in the area, Martine said. The Woods Renovation and Restoration Committee and Lake Forest II will provide buckets and shovels for the plantings.

Shadetree Partnership in Irvine donated the trees that will be used, Martine said.

Volunteers can park at the Lake Forest II Clubhouse at 24752 Toledo Lane and walk 2/3 mile to the Woods area, she said.
