Free Hazardous Waste Recycling Event In Lake Forest: What To Know
The City of Lake Forest is holding a hazardous waste recycling event for two straight days this June.
LAKE FOREST, CA — Do you have forgotten hazardous waste taking up space in your garage?
Mark your calendars, Lake Forest. On June 28, the city is hosting an hazardous waste recycling event.
At the event, residents can bring their e-waste and have it recycled free of charge.

Hazardous waste are products that are flammable, corrosive, reactive or toxic. These products are dangerous to the public and the environment and must be disposed of properly. It is illegal to dump hazardous waste in a trash container.
Acceptable items include pool chemicals, household cleaners, garden chemicals, paint products and thinners, thermometers, fluorescent light bulbs and tubes, batteries, tires and electronic items.

The event will not accept sharps, smoke detectors, ammunition, appliances larger than microwaves, asbestos, construction materials, leaking containers, pressurized cylinders, fire extinguishers, trash, explosives, radioactive waste or biomedical waste.
The event takes place June 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and June 29 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at El Toro High School.
