Going To Ducks Home Opener? New Bag Restrictions Apply
Get your clear bag ready! Leave backpacks, seat cushions, camera cases, and tote bags at home otherwise you'll be trekking back to the car.
ANAHIEM, CA — If you're heading to the Anaheim Duck's home opener this week, leave your bags at home, the venue said in a recent release. All bags brought into the Honda Center will have to pass new NHL standard "clear bag policy."
Fans are encouraged to leave their bags at home, a statement released by the venue said on Tuesday. If that isn't possible, we have some guidelines for you, courtesy of the Honda Center.
Having bags searched in security is nothing new. Many fans appreciate the extra measures when walking through long security lines. "This proactive measure will enhance safety inside and outside of Honda Center and expedite the security screening process for all fans," the venue said.

- one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags;
- wallets or small clutch bags, with or without a handle strap and does not exceed 5 by 8 inches;
- diaper bags not exceeding 12 by 6 by 12 inches after inspection.
An exception will be made for medically necessary items that cannot fit into a clear bag, which will still be subject to inspection.
