He Wants A Kiss and Will Pay $1 For It

Something's not right as a man confronts El Toro High females looking for a little sugar.

A man who looked like he was ready for a tropical bar found himself in some hot water following some ill-advised encounters with high school girls a week ago.

According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, John Joseph Hyde was near El Toro High wearing kakhi shorts and a Hawaiian shirt with cocktails printed on it while asking the juvenile girls he encountered an inappropriate question while trying to shake their hands.

Hyde, 38, wanted to know if he could have a kiss for a dollar.

The various girls fled from Hyde, who was known to one of the deputies as having a mental condition.

He was taken into custody to the Central Men's Jail, but was released on Tuesday on his own recognizance because the district attorney refused to prosecute him.
