• Saddleback Valley Toastmasters will meet Tuesday night at Carrows in Laguna Hills. Click here for more details.
• If you're thinking about starting a family, a preconception planning event is Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. Click here for more details.
• Can you believe the high school football season is almost over? It is if you're not headed to the playoffs. Trabuco Hills almost certainly need a victory at home over Mission Viejo on Friday if it hopes to play in the postseason. El Toro has a bye this week before ending its season at home against Mission.
• Because there's no football on Friday, feel free to head to El Toro anyway. At 7 p.m., the 14th annual Holiday Bull-tique gets under way, allowing you to get a nearly monthlong head start on Black Friday. Admission is $1, there's a barbecue and bake sale, and more than 120 vendors. It benefits the boys' basketball team at El Toro. Click here for more details.
• Appropriately, a band used to wearing costumes will play The Coach House on Halloween. Dread Zeppelin will be the featured performer on Thursday, followed on Friday by the Journey tribute band Don't Stop Believing, and on Saturday by Elvis' daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. Tickets are $15, $15 and $20, respectively.
• Big Shots Bar and Grill will host a Halloween party on Friday, 8 p.m. Cash prize for best costume. Click here for more details.
• Friday at the Sun and Sail Club is the award-winning "Remembering the Ladies," a one-woman show featuring Toni Morrell. It's for adults only. Tickets are $25 until sold out. Click here for details.
