'Caregiver Of The Year' Award Granted To This Outstanding Lake Forest Nurse

LAKE FOREST, CA — A caregiver at a local home care facility has been honored as a regional "Caregiver of the Year."
Maricon Ocampo, who works for BrightStar Care in the Lake Forest/Irvine area, received the West Region Caregiver of the Year award.
The corporate team at BrightStar Care created the annual award to celebrate their caregivers for keeping their clients safe, especially during the pandemic.

Ocampo was nominated by one of her clients for her consummate professionalism and empathy.
Clients describe her as a "natural born caregiver, providing unparalleled support and going the extra mile to bring joy to her client’s lives even during challenging times," according to a press release.

Ocampo received the award in person on August 13 and is in the running with other regional winners for BrightStar Care's national Caregiver of the Year award. The winner will be revealed in the Fall.
