Lake Forest: What's Open, Closed On Martin Luther King Jr. Day

On Jan. 15, many city government buildings and services are closed in observance of the day of service.

LAKE FOREST, CA — Residents and businesses in Lake Forest are honoring the legacy of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, Jan. 15.

As a federal holiday, MLK Day could also affect the hours of government offices, libraries, public transportation and other services in Lake Forest and across Orange County.

The city of Lake Forest announced that its Civic Center Campus will be closed on January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The campus will reopen at regular business hours on Tuesday, January 16.

Post offices will also be closed, as will the DMV and county library branches.
