"We have so many questions," an Irvine Police Department news release said. "Are DVDs still a thing? If they were stolen for aftermarket sales, who would be buying them? Wouldn't it have been easier and less risky to stream the movies?"
Edward Joseph Alviso, 47, was arrested for theft and possession of stolen property, police said. The second man was released, with authorities requesting charges to be considered against the suspect.
