Man Who Sexually Assaulted 2 Young Sisters In Lake Forest Convicted

A 54-year-old man was convicted Wednesday of sexually assaulting two sisters in Lake Forest while he was renting a room with the family.

LAKE FOREST, CA — A 54-year-old man was convicted Wednesday of sexually assaulting two sisters in Lake Forest while he was renting a room with the family.

Yuri Abdel Villatoro was convicted of four counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14 and three counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years or younger, all felonies. Villatoro was scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 3.

The parents of the victims called police on Dec. 6, 2018, about the assaults which happened between 2011 and 2016, prosecutors said in court papers. Villatoro lived with the family as a roommate between 2011 and 2014 and would continue to visit occasionally after that, prosecutors said.

One girl said the abuse started when she was 6 years old in front of her 4-year-old brother, prosecutors said. The abuse continued through the fifth grade, prosecutors said.

The other victim said she was first assaulted when she was in first grade, prosecutors said.
