O.C. Fighters Pummel Opponents in Saturday Rumble

A mixed martial arts fighter from Lake Forest and two from San Clemente bested their opponents in the "Rumble on the Rooftop" event in Pacific Beach on Saturday.

Aaron McCrea of SubFighter in Lake Forest won his fight against Jeffery Carroll in the first round of the event, leaving McCrea with a 2-0 record.

Ivan Lopez of Finish Strong MMA in San Clemente forced Oscar Ortega to tap out in the second round in their fight. Lopez now has a 3-0 amateur record, while Ortega is 3-3. The Lopez-Ortega fight was one of the main events in the series of 11 fights. Each contest was set for three two-minute rounds.

Edgar Duron of USSD Martial Arts in San Clemente also beat his opponent, Andrew Moralez.

The event was organized by World Combat Series and overseen by the California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization. The Pacific Beach World Gym hosted the event.
