Vietnam Vet Will Be Keynote Speaker At El Toro Memorial Day Program

The public is invited to El Toro Memorial Park in Lake Forest for the 31st annual Memorial Day Observance.

LAKE FOREST, CA — Orange County residents are invited to El Toro Memorial Park on May 30 for the park's 31st annual Memorial Day Program.

The free program begins at 11 a.m. and will feature a color guard ceremony, wreath presentation and an honor guard firing salute, Orange County Cemetery District officials said. Several local musicians will also perform during the program.

William B. Ring, a Vietnam War veteran who flew combat missions for the United States Marines, will give the keynote address for the program.

Ring, a Mission Viejo resident, received the Distinguished Service Cross and Purple Heart for his service during the war, the cemetery district said.

The Memorial Day Program will be held rain or shine, and seating is limited. Attendees can bring a lawn chair if they wish.
