What to Watch on TV this Weekend
Patch's scours the weekend TV listings each week to let you know what's worth watching on the tube.

June 24 – 30, 2016
No matter how many times Game of Thrones fans say winter is coming, summer is finally here along with the heat. (It could probably melt a few of those white walkers.) Patch has four good reasons to stay inside and try to cool down this week. Even with the AC on high, you may still be sweating bullets from the drama and suspense in this lineup.
Soccer: UEFA Euro 2016
Monday, June 27 - ESPN - 3 p.m.
Now that the LeBron James has vanquished the Cleveland championship-less curse, and the Pittsburgh Penguins brought the silver and nickel-alloy Stanley Cup back to the Steel City, there is a lull in the American sports scene. Never fear. Soccer is here and currently dominating ESPN’s lineup. Despite the economic frenzy stemming from the fact England may be leaving the EU, the nation’s national team will face off against Iceland on Monday, June 27 at 3:00 PM in the round of 16. Witness some of the best athletes on the face of the planet battle it out for national glory and watch their passionate fans, whom some may deem as hooligans, live and die with each touch of the ball.

America’s Got Talent
Tuesday, June 28 - NBC - 9 p.m.
The small, ukulele-welding 12-year-old girl, Grace VanderWaal, stole the hearts of the judges in the opening round, but will America’s new sweetheart move on to Vegas? Only one way to find out. In its 11th season the variety show will still amaze you with musicians, magicians and the truly bizarre. Joining Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and the Spice Girl's Mel B. behind the judges’ table, Simon Cowell brings his trademark point of view back to television. The final night of auditions airs June 28 on NBC. Tune in for some family-friendly fun to find out who will be America’s next big thing.

Game of Thrones
Sunday, June 26 - HBO - 9 p.m.
There isn’t too much to say about this one. It is a television phenomenon. If you don’t watch it, well, you will be adrift in water-cooler talk, irrelevant on social media and could be considered a cultural outlier. The season finale airs Sunday, Jun 26 at 9 p.m. on HBO. John Snow and the Stark forces just managed to take back the North, while Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister are ready to set sail for Westeros – dragons and Dothraki in tow. This season has not been death-filled as the past few, but what characters will remain with the living or what is considered living in the G.O.T universe after the season finale- no one knows.
Mistresses
Monday, June 27 - ABC - 9 p.m.
The UK import Mistresses is fairing a lot better than the British economy. Season four is back with Savannah, April, Calista and Joss. The sassy and sultry ladies are working through the ups and downs of contemporary relationships and everyday life. With a murder trial and some ex-drama already unfolding this season, the drama and scandal is turned up to eleven. The show has received mixed reviews, but if you want to sit down and unwind (maybe with a nice glass of wine) before the start of the week tune in at 9 p.m. on Sunday.
On Demand Sleeper: Genius on PBS
If you are into science, this show is for you. Stephen Hawking brings on everyday Joe's to test their brainpower and their will. Contestants try to solve the deep dark questions of the universe, while participating in mind-bending experiments. The contestants run the gamut on topics that range from physics to molecular biology. There are also a few breathing-taking stunts for all you action fans.
