A Beautiful Mind (2001)
Friday, Jan. 20 - More Max - 3:35 p.m.
A Ron Howard production, the biographical A Beautiful Mind tells the story of John Nash, a Nobel Laureate in Economics played by Russell Crowe, who begins developing paranoid schizophrenia while enduring episodes of delusion. The film also stars Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris, Paul Bettany, Adam Goldberg, Judd Hirsch and others in supporting roles. A Beautiful Mind went on to win won four Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress. It was also nominated for Best Actor, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score and Best Makeup.

Snowpiercer (2013)
Saturday, Jan. 21 - Syfy - Noon
Snowpiercer stars Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Octavia Spencer, Go Ah-sung, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, John Hurt and Ed Harris in a sci-fi thriller about a globe-spanning train that holds the last remnants of humanity after a well-meaning attempt at climate engineering creates a new ice age. Evans plays Curtis Everett, a member of the lower-class tail section of passengers. The winding, fast-paced, 126-minute adventure finds Everett on the brink of a revolution against the elite of the front of the train. The film is based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, written by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand and Jean-Marc Rochette.
Mulan (1998)

Disney's Mulan features one of the 11 official Disney princess, its plot surrounding the Han dynasty, where Fa Mulan, daughter of aged warrior Fa Zhou, impersonates a man in order to take her father's place during an effort to counter a Hun invasion. Released during the Disney Renaissance, Mulan generated $304 million at the box office, earning Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations as well as a number of Annie Awards. The film stars Ming-Na Wen as Fa Mulan (singing voice provided by Lea Salonga), Eddie Murphy as Mushu, B.D. Wong as Captain Li Shang (singing voice provided by Donny Osmond), Miguel Ferrer as Shan Yu, Harvey Fierstein as Yao and June Foray as Grandmother Fa (singing voice provided by Marni Nixon).
The Blair Witch Project (1999)

The Blair Witch Project is a supernatural, found-footage and horror film written and directed by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez. The film tells the fictional story of three student filmmakers hiking in the Black Hills near Burkittsville, Maryland in 1994 with the purpose of filming a documentary about a local and infamous legend: the Blair Witch. The three disappear, but their video and sound equipment are discovered one year later, the content of which comprises the length of the film. The Blair Witch Project was originally campaigned as "a record of real events" and came to generate a worldwide $248.6 million. Its influence is noted in more recent films, such as 2008's Cloverfield and 2012's Chronicle.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009)

Cloudy with a Change of Meatballs is a reimagining of the children's book of the same name by Judi Barrett and Ron Barrett, employing an all-star voice cast of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Bruce Campbell, Andy Samberg, Mr. T, James Caan, Bobb'e J. Thompson, Benjamin Bratt, Neil Patrick Harris, Al Roker, Lauren Graham and Will Forte. A simultaneous critical and commercial success, the film earned $243 million worldwide against a $100 million budget, with a 2013 sequel, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, grossing a worldwide total of more than $274 million on a budget of $78 million. A television series based on the films is set to premier this year.
