Contra Costa Gas Prices Rise: See Bay Area Comparison
Looking at the increase since last year price is stunning.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Gas prices continue to rise in Contra Costa County, but the cost of a gallon of gas here is one of the lowest in the Bay Area, according to figures released Monday by the Automobile Association of America.
California has the highest gas prices in the nation — $4.70 today, $4.68 one week ago, $4.65 one month ago and $3.47 one year ago.
The nation's average is $3.48, up nearly five cents from a week ago and 18 cents higher than a month ago. The national average one year ago was $2.50.

There are three counties in California where the price of gas is higher than San Francisco —Mono, Humboldt and Del Norte.
