First In Series Of Moraga Leadership Workshops Set For Thursday Evening

Three seminars this fall are designed to foster better communication and engagement

The first in a series of three workshops in Moraga designed to build community networks and communication will be held on Thursday evening.

The topic of the first Community Leadership Series seminar will be increasing engaging and deepening commitment.

The workshop is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Serbian Cultural Center, 1700 School St., in Moraga.

It is sponsored by the town of Moraga, the St. Mary's College Leadership Center and the Moraga Citzens Network.

The Thursday evening seminar will explore engagement and commitment trends, interactive exercises and how generations relate to one another.

The second workshop will be held Oct. 10 and focus on cultivating a vision within an organization.

The third workshop will be held Oct. 24 and focus on working with conflict.

Moraga Town Manager Jill Keimach said the idea for the seminars came after some divisive debates in town over issues such as the Rancho Laguna Park off-leash rules and the Dollar Tree store moving into the Rheem Shopping Center.
