Lamorinda Startup Among Fastest-Growing In America: New Ranking
The top 500 companies on the U.S. list had an average median three-year revenue growth rate of 1,637 percent.
LAFAYETTE, CA — A startup with roots in Lafayette was ranked among the fastest-growing private companies in America in the 2024 Inc. 5000 list released Tuesday.
The companies on the list have experienced rapid revenue growth in recent years while navigating inflationary pressures, rising interest costs and hiring challenges from 2020 through 2023. The top 500 companies on the list had an average median three-year revenue growth rate of 1,637 percent. Together, the 5,000 companies on the list have added 874,458 jobs over the past three years.
To qualify for the ranking, companies must be U.S.-based and must have been generating revenue by March 31, 2020. Although some of the startups may have gone public or been acquired since the review period ended, the list represents companies that were private, for-profit and independent as of Dec. 31, 2023, Inc. said.

The companies must also have had minimum revenues of $100,000 for 2020 and $2 Million for 2023. See the full methodology.
Numa Ranked 168th
Numa, an artificial intelligence company founded in Lafayette, grew by 2,248 percent during the three years and ranked 168th nationally. Founded in 2017, Numa is an AI-driven customer response platform for dealerships that turns BDCs and advisors into world-class communicators. In 2023, Numa was ranked 809th nationally.

Numa is headed up by Locations Labs founder Tasso Roumeliotis as CEO. Numa president Joel Grossman and Numa chief of product and tech Andy Ruff were also previously with Location Labs where they held the same respective roles.
