Local Kitchens in Lafayette, California, has unveiled a fresh new look following its grand re-opening.

The micro food hall, located on Mount Diablo Boulevard near McDonald’s, originally opened in the space of a former cheesesteak shop. Initially, the focus was on a quick launch, but the recent revamp has given the restaurant a chance to truly make the space its own.

The most noticeable change is the restaurant’s new color scheme, shifting from green and white to a combination of white and yellow.

I visited right after the re-opening, and the exterior was covered with grand reopening banners and balloons, making it hard to miss. Inside, the ordering area has been updated with modern features, including tablets for easy ordering and large video screens showcasing the diverse selection of restaurants available.

One of the standout additions is the inclusion of dishes from renowned New York chef Einat Admony, known as the "queen of falafel." Customers can now enjoy her Yalla falafel.

Another significant improvement is the addition of more seating. What was once primarily an order-for-delivery spot now offers plenty of space for diners to sit and enjoy their meals.

And since Local Kitchens is open until midnight or later on some nights, it's one of the only options for late-night dining in Lafayette!

Local Kitchens is located at 3455 Mount Diablo Boulevard, Lafayette, CA.
