Trader Joe's Recalls 653K Scented Candles
The candles pose a fire hazard and have led to 14 incidents involving high flames, including property damage and burns.

BAY AREA, CA—Shoppers who recently purchased a scented candle from Trader Joe's will want to make sure it is not among the 653,000 recalled Thursday by the grocer.
Trader Joe's announced it was recalling its Mango Tangerine Scented Candles because they pose a fire hazard. The company said the candle flame can spread from the wick to the wax, causing a larger-than-expected flame, posing a fire hazard.
The Southern California-based grocer has received 14 reports of incidents involving high flames with the recalled candles, including three reports of minor property damage and two reports of minor burns.
