Volunteers Needed for Wreath Placement

LAFAYETTE, CA — On Friday, Dec. 20, join the Acalanes DAR Chapter and VFW Post 8063 at Lafayette Cemetery, 3285 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, by the flagpole at 2 p.m. to help honor our veterans. Together, we will place 335 wreaths on veterans' graves. Wreath distribution will begin after Taps is played by VFW bugler Charlie Schretzmann.

As each wreath is placed, we will take a moment to say the veteran's name out loud to honor their memory and ensure their legacy is remembered.

Street parking is available; please use crosswalks for safety. Footwear suitable for wet conditions is recommended.
