Intrax Foundation Gives Back to Local Community
Au Pair Care celebrated its 35th anniversary by donating $12,000 to local charities benefitting literacy and education, nationwide.
In celebration of its 35th anniversary of cultural exchange, Kavita Bester nominated her charity organization, Next Generation Scholars (NGS) a chance to receive a donation. NGS was one of the top three non-profit organizations to receive a donation from the parent company, Intrax and the Intrax Foundation. The foundation donated $12,000 to five local Area Directors who nominated their charity organizations situated nationwide. This donation will support families and children in need, and initiatives promoting literacy and education.
On June 18, Kavita Bester presented a $2000 check to the Executive Director of NGS, Nghiem Bui. Her colleague, Annika Speckhart, an au pair, and two host children joined to commemorate this special occasion.
Next Generation Scholars has been significantly impacting learning and literacy. This donation will further their mission by supporting programs, resources, and opportunities for young students, empowering them to reach their full potential. NGS has supported more than two hundred under-resourced scholars. Students supported by NGS have a success rate of 95 percent graduation rate compared to the national average of 60 percent. The Intrax Foundation was established in 2023 to honor its late founders, Takeshi Yokota, and John Wilhelm. The foundation is dedicated to their memory and legacies and contributing to cultural exchange initiatives. It is worth noting that John Wilhelm was a resident of Tiburon.
