This Marin County SMART Shuttle Will Expand To 7 Days A Week
The SMART shuttle decided to expand due to rider demand.
LARKSPUR, CA — The SMART Connect Larkspur Shuttle, which takes people to the SMART Larkspur station and the Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry terminal, will now operate seven days a week in response to rider demand, a press release said.
Launched in June 2024, the shuttle has carried 6,500 passengers four days a week, Thursday through Saturday.
SMART stated it received overwhelming customer feedback about expanding to seven days a week and committing to another year of service through the partnership of SMART, the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District, and the Transportation Authority of Marin.

The service expansion also aligns with the beginning of the San Francisco Giants season as many residents use the shuttle to get to the ferry that takes them to the park.
The shuttle provides an alternative to the Central Marin Ferry Bicycle/Pedestrian bridge and can carry up to two wheelchair passengers at a time.

The SMART shuttle hours of service are:
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and 1:30-6 p.m.
- Saturday – Sunday: 8:30–11:30 a.m. and 12:30 – 7:30 p.m.
On weekends, the shuttle also serves The Village and Town center shopping malls in Corte Madera.
Seniors ages 65 and older, and kids ages 0-18, ride free on SMART Connect shuttle and the SMART train. One-way fare is $1.50 for adults and $0.75 for persons with disabilities.
