Town Council Candidates Wary of 'Sniping'
Incumbents Alexandra Cock and Bob Ravasio, with challenger Melissa Gill, debate the issues in front of the public.
Former Corte Madera Town Council member Melissa Gill said she hopes the leadup to the November 8 election will be more positive and the candidates will avoid "sniping."
Gill mentioned Monday night she felt incumbents Alexandra Cock and Bob Ravasio were sniping at the town's purchase of the Park Madera shopping center when Gill was on the Town Council in 2007. Gill is hoping to earn another stint in office, but she'll have to get past Cock and Ravasio for one of the two open seats.
The three candidates debated before residents at the Town Center's community room Monday, covering issues from the town's finances, the keeping of chickens, the reopening of the Alto Tunnel and the development of the Wincup property.
