• Manteca, EU, Lathrop win Buff Collegiate Showcase finales (mantecabulletin.com) — Lathrop High’s boys soccer team dominated Ripon 5-0 at the Buff Collegiate Showcase, then turns right around to host Pacheco in its Western Athletic Conference opener Tuesday night. The Spartans showed off their depth, tried a new 3-5-2 formation, and fired more than 15 shots on goal, giving local fans plenty to watch as league play begins.
